Liz Moriondo has two loves. And she’s found a way to combine them into a growing career.
From about the time the Mt. Vernon, MO, native could walk she began fishing and hunting with her brothers and cousins – sparking a life-long love affair with the outdoors. But, while she’s had a fishing rod in one hand, she’s had a microphone in the other.
Liz’s other love is Country music. She’s been singing for years and moved to Nashville to pursue music full time. She recorded her first record with producer David Huff (Little Big Town, The Band Perry, The Doobie Brothers) and has been touring the country, supported by her partnerships with Bass Pro Shops and several outdoor organizations. In just the past two years Liz has played for more than 250,000 fans.
She has also opened for acts such as Tim McGraw, Big & Rich, and Lee Brice, among others, and 2016 already has her performing more than ever; she will be the featured performer at 36 NASCAR Races on the Bass Pro Shops’ Stage.
In addition, you’ll see a lot of Liz on television in 2016. Some of the shows she will be featured in are South Bend’s Lunkerville (World Fishing Network/NBC Sports), Spiritual Outdoor Adventures (Hunt Channel/Pursuit Channel), and Kayak Bassin’ TV (World Fishing Network/NBC Sports).
Online, Liz hosts her “Kitchen Concert Series” on YouTube and Facebook. That’s where she premiered her parody of “All About That Bass” which has now been viewed more than 12 million times.
Liz is going to be our special guest on ‘In The Studio’ on ‘The Stage’ podcast on Friday. The show will be posted here under podcast.
